Applications are invited from motivated and eligible Indian citizens for a position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB-DST sponsored research project entitled “Challenging General Relativity at the largest scales: A systematic investigation of cosmological perturbations in modified gravity” under the Principal Investigator (PI) Dr. Jibitesh Dutta, Assistant Professor, Mathematics Division, Department of Basic Sciences and Social Sciences (BSSS), North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU).

Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Mathematics/Physics and selected through a process described through any one of the following :
(a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIR UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
(b) Scholars who are selected through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
Desirable: Preference will be given to those candidates having basic knowledge of General Relativity, Non-linear Dynamics and experience of handling computational software.
Age: Not more than 28 Years. Age relaxation will be provided as per DST-SERB norms.
Duration of the project: Three years and the post is co-terminus with the duration of the project. Candidates selected for this position may get Ph.D. admission provided he/she satisfies the eligibility criteria for Ph.D. program of NEHU.
Fellowship: Rs.31,000/- per month + HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 35,000/- per month + HRA for the 3rd year. House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per DST guidelines will be provided.
