The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has officially announced that Higher Secondary first-year students for the academic year will 2019-2020 will be promoted to the second year for the session 2020-2021 due to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.
The AHSEC in a notification said, “It is notified for information of all concerned that the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council has decided to promote the students of the Higher Secondary First Year Class of the academic session 2019-2020 (who had filled up online forms) to the Higher Secondary Second Year Class of the academic session 2020-2021 as a very special case for this year.”
The AHSEC in a notification said, “It is notified for information of all concerned that the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council has decided to promote the students of the Higher Secondary First Year Class of the academic session 2019-2020 (who had filled up online forms) to the Higher Secondary Second Year Class of the academic session 2020-2021 as a very special case for this year.”
They added, “The Higher Secondary First Year Examination-2020 to be held on and from the 25th of March, 2020 to the 10th of April, 2020 could not be held due to outbreak of COVID-9 all over the world.”
“The Principals of all the Institutions are requested to take necessary action”, the notification further added.
Earlier, the cancellation of the examination was announced by the
Chairman of AHSEC Dr. Dayananda Borgohain due to the ongoing pandemic.
