Government of Assam is trying hard to make sure that academic year 2020-21 for students is not lost.
Education & health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has today organised a video conference with 17 vice-chancellors of the state to discuss ways on this matter.

With lockdown in place, all educational institutions of Assam have been closed since 15th March 2020.
On the other hand, Assam Government has directed all private schools to waive 50% fees for the month of April and not to hike fees or cut the salary of their staffs in view of the COVID-19 crisis.
