Assam Government has made all admission free for students starting HS to PG level in all disciplines including professional courses in Assam. In view of global pandemic due to COVID-19, this decision has been taken to provide huge relief to student as well as parents.
Assam Education Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma addressing a press conference in Guwahati has announced the same. He said, “Students of HS to Post Graduate level will get free admissions in all colleges across Assam. This includes students of Engineering, Polytechnic, Medical, Agriculture and all other courses.”

He further added, “There will be no hidden cost or fee in the admission process and it will be 100 per cent free. There will be no kind of Magazine fees, Saraswati Puja fees, Me-Dam-Me-Phi Fees, Excursion fees. Even the prospectus will be free.”
