About MSSV Nagaon
Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya, located in Nagaon is a university established through The Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya Act, 2013 . The university has been named after the great personality Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva. It is affiliated to UGC and also it has two campuses, viz; Nagaon campus and Guwahati campus.

Eligibility Criteria of MSSV Nagaon Admission
Post Graduate Programmes:
M.A. Programmes in Assamese, Economics, Education, English, Philosophy and Sociology:
At least 45% marks in Major in the subject concerned or at least 50% marks in the subject concerned having on aggregate of at least 45% marks in B.A.
M.A. in Performing Arts (Dance/Music/Drama):
(i) Candidates who have passed B.P.A. (Bachelor of Performing Arts) or B.A. in Performing Arts from any recognised University with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
(ii) Graduates of any stream with at least 45% marks in aggregate, having Certificate/Diploma in the relevant subject (Dance/Music/Drama) from any recognised institute/institution of repute, in which case the candidates shall have to appear in an interview.
M.S.W. (Master of Social Work):
(i) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University securing at least 45% in Major of any subject or in aggregate.
(ii) Must be medically fit for doing extensive Field Work. A certificate of physical fitness must be produced at the time of admission.
M.A./M.Sc. in Yogic Science and Naturopathy:
(i) Bachelor Degree holders from a recognised University with at least 45% marks.
(ii) Must be physically and mentally sound to undergo intense practical training in all yoga practices. A certificate from a competent medical practitioner shall have to be produced at the time of admission.
(iii) Age of the applicant shall ordinarily be not more than 30 years.
(iv) Preference shall be given to the candidates having Major in Philosophy/Sanskrit/Zoology in the first degree.
Under Graduate Programmes:
B.A. (Major) Programmes [Subjects– Assamese, Economics, Education, English, Philosophy and Sociology]:
M.A. in Performing Arts (Dance/Music/Drama):
(i) Candidates who have passed B.P.A. (Bachelor of Performing Arts) or B.A. in Performing Arts from any recognised University with at least 45% marks in aggregate.

Under Graduate Programmes:
B.A. (Major) Programmes [Subjects– Assamese, Economics, Education, English, Philosophy and Sociology]:
A student who passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, or any equivalent examination recognised as such by the University shall be eligible for admission to the First Semester of the Six Semester B.A. (Major) programme.
B.P.A. (Bachelor of Performing Arts): (Modular):

(i) Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination passed in any stream conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, or an equivalent examination, and (ii) adequate experience in Performing Arts. The candidates for admission shall be selected through an interview.
Selection Process of MSSV Nagaon Admission
- Selection of candidates for admission shall be made on merit basis.
- The list of selected candidates shall be put on the Notice Board of the University and the University’s website: www.mssv.co.in. Intimation to the candidates shall not be conveyed individually. The candidates may be called for interview on the date and venue to be decided by the University.
- Selected candidates shall have to get themselves admitted on the date & time as specified by the University on payment of the prescribed fee, failing which selection for admission shall automatically get cancelled.
